Want to deepen your relationship with your partner or close friend? This month’s meditation can help you do just that. In this session you will learn three different techniques to meditate with a partner. There will also be time for silent reflection on your own experience. All are welcome, though practitioners should note this is primarily intended for couples or friends who would like to expand their connection.
  • October 7th - Kelee Meditation with Mary Griffith
The Kelee Meditation practiced twice daily is transformational. From The Silent Miracle by Ron Rathbun, "By learning to sit down for a few minutes each day to still your mind, you will find what everyone is looking for-a life to be enjoyed. Lasting happiness, and an intimate connection with all that life has to offer, is the result of uncovering your true nature found in your Kelee."

Anatomy in Asana: From the Hips to the Head with Justine Shelton
Sunday, September 21st, 1 – 5pm
In this workshop we will take a deeper look at what happens in the body when we practice the physical aspect of yoga.  We will begin with the structure of the spine, the central axis of our bodies, from the viewpoint that the purpose of all asana is to bring the spine into greater alignment and health.  From there we will expand outwardly into the appendicular skeleton.  Highlights will include:

  • The anatomy of the spine, focusing on healthy movement patterns, contraindications for specific injuries and appropriate application of poses for relieving common conditions.
  • The shoulder girdle with specific attention given to the rotator cuff.
  • The pelvic girdle with specific attention given to the sacral lumbar relationship.

This workshop is great for practitioners wanting to deepen their understanding of their bodies, yogis wanting to learn how to practice with a deeper awareness of their limitations and how best to deal with them, or teachers wanting to deepen their knowledge.  Come join us for a fun look at the possibilities of your yoga practice! $45

Restorative Yoga Workshop with Danielle Osicki
Sunday, October 5th, 2-5pm
Your invited to feel the amazing benefits of a three hour Restorative Yoga practice. Restorative Yoga is a gentle style of yoga that encourages conscious relaxation. Restorative postures elicit the “relaxation response,” a feature of the parasympathetic nervous system, which balances out the “fight or flight” response. In Restorative Yoga, we breathe with awareness and practice the art of letting go, of being rather than doing. This state of deep relaxation not only alleviates stress and reduces blood pressure but also strengthens the immune system and increases longevity while generating serenity and peace of mind. This workshop also includes special aromatherapy blends to encourage deep rest and rejuvenation. $40
